Can someone plz show me how 'L' sound like?

I'm studying English pronunciation (and that gave away that I'm not a native speaker huh ^^)
and I'm really stumped on the 'L' sound, not just the alphabet letter "L", but also when it's used in front of a vowel AND at the end of it. I mean, it sounds different when it comes before a vowel and end of one, right? I can't figure out why the symbol is the same.. or is it the same sound..

So I thought, I would really appreciate if somebody can record her/his voice of the sound "L" as shown below or just explain how my jaw, tongue and lips should move when I have a go at the sound..

1. /l/ the pure sound as in phonetic chart
2. L as in English alphabet /el/
3. low (before vowel)
4. all (after vowel)

Can someone please help me out? ^^
Thanks in advance..

If you have any DVDs / tapes with dialogue in English try watching them.

Because it's a mixed-up language that combines words from many other languages.
