Can someone please take me through this procedure

I currently have a DELL OPTIPLEX GX1 system (P3, 450 , 128 RAM, ATI RAGE PRO 8M AGP)

I want to install a PCI based ATI RADEON 32SDR on my computer. I have been told to do so I first physically install the RADEON into PCI1 and then boot the computer, install the drivers, then disable my RAGE PRO in devise manager.

Can someone please take me through step by step on what exactly needs to be done. Thanks
