The problem is:

If a series circuit has a capacitor of C = 0.8 X 10 ^ -6 farad and an inductor of L = 0.2 henry, find the resistance R so that the circuit is critically damped.

It's a second order linear differential equation!


I truely appreciate any help possible:)

umm, i could probably do the math, but I don't remember the physics. want to state the diffi q?

Nevermind, I just found the equation to use for a critcally damped circuit, you just take 2 times the square root of the L times the 1/C
