So I'm trying to make a line graph. I have two columns of data, I highlighted both of them and inserted a chart. Instead of taking column A as the x and B as they y, it graphs each column in a different series with x being 1 through 30 (the number of cells in each column). Screenshot

If I click the Series tab, i can't even select x and y values. See here.
What the heck is wrong and how can I fix this?

Try labeling the top of your column. As in put "A" at the top of the a column and vice versa with b. That might do something, but i'm no expert at excel

All that does is make one series called "A" and the other "B" in the legend.
