Can someone please help me clarify a basic DDR2 concept?

This always confuses me. So for the example let's assume that you are running your FSB at a nice even 400 MHz (with 266 MHz being stock). Now if I understand correctly, setting the memory speeds on the motherboard will have the following effects on actual memory speed:

Mobo setting: DDR2-800 = 3 x 400 = 1200 MHz
Mobo setting: DDR2-667 = 2.5 x 400 = 1000 MHz
Mobo setting: DDR2-533 = 2 x 400 = 800 MHz

Hence, if one were going to be overclocking the FSB into the 400-range with DDR2-800, one should start out setting the mobo for DDR2-533 (i.e. 2 x FSB multiplier). Is that right?

If your FSB is running at 400MHz, and the memory divider is set to "linked" 1:1 with FSB, your memory will run at 800MHz (Double Data Rate).

Mine is set to "Unlinked", with the memory divider set to 16/13.

325MHz FSB x 16/13 Memory Divider = 400MHz memory bus x 2 DDR = 800 MHz.

You can check it out on Wikipedia too, but it is too confusing.
