Can someone please explain "Processor Affinity" ?

I'm running SetiDriver on a BP6 w/2 366@578 & just wanted to know about this setting.
Thanks for any info.
 
Processor affinity basically states what processor you want SETI to run on in a multiprocessor machine. This lets you manually force SETI to run on processor 0 or 1 or whatever instead of letting the OS or SETI decide which is best.
