Can someone please educate me on microaggressions?

I was reading an article on safe places, crying rooms and microaggressions.

So, what I got from the article was a microaggression would be asking an Asian person "what part of Asia they are from?" Or, if you're in need of help and you ask the person who came in for the job interview "what are your qualifications?"

It's all so confusing. :(

Also, what's the deal with crying rooms?

I'm deeply offended by people who require hand holding and stand around waiting to be told what to do.

Easy: Micro-aggressions are simply someone stating an opinion that another doesn't agree with.

Example: A colleague/class mate says "I like Chocolate Ice Cream".

In your head, you're aware that Strawberry ice cream is indeed the superior ice cream, but you do not have the ability to debate rationally or competently. Thus you must quickly go out and find a safe space where everyone else agrees with you that Strawberry is the superior ice cream.

"Microagressions" don't exist. It's something libtards invented to make themselves feel better when they get offended by something simple and stupid.

The training I clicked through as fast as I could at work said that microaggressions are bad and can cause triggering, which is also bad, and that no matter how fat, discolored, interested in my penis, or smelly a co-worker is, I must never discuss those topics or I'll have to meet with that wise and beautiful woman Peggy from the HR office as punishment.

Bunch of party poopers in this thread too.
The premise of the song was great. The problem was the writer chose to mix up stuff liberal whiners actually do with right wing bs turning a promising satire into a pissy rant.

I thought that was the point I especially like the you must be racist is there go to. Since I get banned for being racist all the time even while dating a mixed chick and am definitely not a republican. The second guys voice is really annoying its still funny though.

As an employer, I insist that my organization sniff out those who are easily offended.

Those persons are not hired or quickly shown the door.

Not sure if this is a troll/humour thread, but anyway; I googled for 'microaggression', and came up with the following:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microaggression
https://www.buzzfeed.com/hnigatu/racial-microagressions-you-hear-on-a-daily-basis
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3r8KN17wP0
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Microaggressions&defid=10444213
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Microaggressions&defid=10108348

I would probably tack on the end of either of those urbandictionary definitions that the 'microaggressive' comments often reference (or appear to) common negative stereotypes.

- edit - I just remembered this clip I saw a while ago on the topic that I found amusing:

It's just the brand name of insensitivity. If you have any life experience and aren't a douchebag, you probably shouldn't worry about it any more than you do about a tree falling on your car.
