I know this is OT to this OT forum (haha) but I would like to try and get my problem fixed as soon as I can... I just got a Logitech MX500 optical mouse and I can't use my scroll wheel anymore.. same drivers as my last mouse (Logitech Mouseman) which worked just fine. even using the same config... i also tried the Logitech registry patch for gamers.... no difference. i have tried their online support FAQ's and stuff too.. don't really find anything useful... if someone doesn't have the answer, is there a different place i should be going? i really need to use this damn scroll wheel.... i can't figure out why it doesn't work in Quake3.... works in Windows of course. I know there has always been a difference between working in games and in windoze, so felt i'd tell everyone EVERYTHING works OK in windoze. but just not in the game... wheel is not recognized at all. so like i said.. ANY help at all would be great. I wanna play tonight...

i dunno... i'm almost thinking of returning mine... dunno if i like it as much as my optical mouseman... the mouse can't figure out my mousepad, and i'm sure it would have a coniption if i put it on the veneer

I love the feel of this thing. works great for scrolling, all the buttons on the top are nice.. but I can't get the freaking wheel to work in Q3...

Is the mousewheel bound to change weapons or whatever you want it to be? I don't know that it is by default.

I can't bind it...
it's as simple as you hit enter to select what key you want.. you are suppose to be able to pull the scroll wheel down or push it up to bind it.
i can't get it bound.

my mousewheel scrolls like crap! i think its the new mousewares... when i had it on the old ones one click down meant it would go down... after i installed the new mousewares i can rock the wheel back and forth and every once in a while it might scroll down a bit.

ElFenix, there is a support doc for that on their site... my scroll wheel works perfect in windows.. but they said something about sporatic scrolling on the site. might wanna check it out.

You might want to do a search in Off topic and in General Hardware for "Logitech MX700" that will bring you a couple of threads and in one of them I believe someone had the same problem. I think I remember reading that you needed to uninstall the new Mouseware cuz it sucks and then use Tweak UI or whatever its called to change some setting in that.

I found the thread.. mentions using Tweak UI to help fix the wheel problem... hah.. that's sew ghey. i can't believe what ya gotta go thru to use a SCROLL wheel in the game!!!!!!!
