I am creating this webpage for a friend of mine's band. This is my first try at this. I went to one of those free webpage servers. I have this program called Anfy 3D, for those of you who don't know it can add things to pictures and also can do some cool stuff with words. Anyways I made this one thing that has the bands name and the letters are flipping and jumping and it's really cool. I want to put this on my page but it won't let me. It says that it can only upload .gif and .jpg. Do you any of you know a way around this or a free webserver that allows you to upload something other than .jpg or .gif, or do I have to get a domain name to be able to do this. Thanks.

You don't need a domain, that has nothing to do with it. You do need to find a way in that program to export your animation into a .gif. Try searching through the help files or try saving it as a .gif (from the file menu).

gif and jpg are the only types of graphics that can be used on the web. (png is the newer one but thats another story)

Your only option is to make an animated gif, or maybe flash file.

I think it won't preview it because it's animated. Try imbedding the .gif into a webpage (html) and then see if you can view it.

hahahaha, yes I guess it does.

If I dabbled in HTML a bit more than I do now, I would recommend a resource to help you set it up. It's probably the case that your image isn't in the right directory or the HTML isn't setup correctly. As it stands, however, I don't know any help pages off the top of my head, but there are PLENTY out there.

Either do a search or wait until someone more helpful comes along. ;)

Thanks Balt I appreciate your help. If you could visit my website and tell me what you think. Now remember this is my first try so don't be too harsh. And also remember it's still under construction. I only have one band member on it now and I am trying to get his opinion before moving on.
