Has anyone read "By the waters of babylon?" Anyways, its about some dude that goes to new york after its been destroyed, but its so far after the destruction that his "tribe" thinks it as a place of the gods.

just a little background.

Anyways, i'm trying to figure out what he means by "a temple in mid-city with a roof painted like the sky at night."

this is new york, remember...anyone know what this is???

Think about it. What does the sky at night look like? It's dark and has dots of light. Look at a city scape of mid city and if there's nothing with a dark twinkling roof, then consider it crappy writing.

well i think he means a ceiling painted like that in some building since he's inside of one when he says that...

besides, new york is destroyed in this story, so what exactly are you saying

Possibly madison square garden with all those round fluorescent light bulbs?

In any case, it doesn't matter. As long as you can give a reason for your answer, you should get full credit. That's all your techer wants out of you is to know you put thought into it.
