Don't disable the firewall, there is no reason to. Search google to find out the ports the services you want to use work over and forward those ports to the target computer. It should be easy to find the appropriate ports.

Wireless is nice too.

First, you cannot disable your firewall if you want to be able to share your Internet connection. NAT, which you are using to share your Internet connection, by defination is a firewall since it blocks all unsolicited inbound traffic. What you can do is open ports like Soybomb said or you can put your 1 PC in the DMZ and have it "out" on the Internet. With your PC in the DMZ though, you will not have the protection of your NAT firewall so, it would be wise to install some software variant to protect your PC.

If you've put it in the dmz, everything should work since it will forward all ports to your pc. You might double check your settings and be sure its forwarding to the right internal address. I still favor forwarding limited ports over using the dmz though.

If you're dealing with home networking equipment, its all crap relatively speaking. Personally I think linksys is the best of it and dlink is the worst, but everyone has their own opinions. At least linksys now has cisco behind it too.

DMZ with Ping Enabled.
Then use software firewall, it's easier to maintain if you're a savvy internet user.

Go with Linksys (or I should say Cisco now?)
