can someone help me with CS

ive been trying to connect to any server on CS and i keep having to download all the maps and models, and wavs etc. even if ive already downloaded the files, i get this and then at the end it pauses for about 10 mins, then it downloads some more, why is it downloading so much? anyone know whats up with this? heres a screen shot of the crap i get

i havent connected to a single server yet, any words of advice on this? I would have posted this elsewhre but i know theres a lot of CS gamers in the OT forum. thanks

Really weird, try reinstalling counter strike and see if that fixes the problem, it shouldn't try to download anything unless its an external map, sound...etc

And if you already have the file, it shouldn't d/l it anyways.

That's pretty strange, I'd reinstall.

My problems were the same initially, as maps loaded, it would take 10-30 minutes to download a map. Once I got the maps I was off to the races, carnage and seeing the world as a dead guy.

Sometimes a map would change, while I was still getting the map and that would throw me into a disconnection. (Consequently I still haven't received the jeep 2 map) Maybe finding a place online and downloading all the maps into proper directory might speed up the process...........

nm, i uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and it works, i think it was the beta upgrade that killed me
