Can someone help me tweak with NVMax?

Here are my current settings. Can you guys help me tweak with NVmax? Some of these settings sound so foreign...

T-Bird 850
Asus A7V
GeForce 2 GTS 210/380mhz
512mb PC133 Ram
WD 40gig HDD
SBLive

If you can, please tell me what each setting does. It's important that I know what each setting does because I'm trying to find a niche between "More FPS" and "Better Graphical Quality". That way, I'd like to judge for myself if the setting should be on or not.

Note: I have V-Sync on (because HL/CS looks like crap with V-Sync).
Note2: I run all games in 16-bit color.

There's isn't much to it, really. NVmax (and the other Detonator tweaking utils) are most useful as a means to raise compatibility. There are no options that'll magically double your performance - or rather, Nvidia is not that stupid to disable them by default.
