I'm going to attempt to build my pc (against my wife and family's wishes 😉) and I plan on using a Shuttle 31 with AMD 1700. I just saw these two deals on linkworld cases and since I know next to nothing about what I am doing I thought someone might give me some advice:
tower1

and

Tower2

Thank you in advance.

as for the first one i can't say i've ever seen one of those before.... but with anything that is semi cheap and is not the biggest brand i would guess that the metal would be kinda "flimsy" and the edges wouldn't be smooth = cuts... but those are maybes because i don't really know.. just guessin

and the second one i have 0 experience with but a friend of mine has used one... they are nice cases... nothing spectacular but thumb screws, drive rails, 400watt psu, removable hard drive cages.... it looks like it'd be an okay case... especially if you like its design

here is another good one for 37 shipped.....i have used 4 of these cases and everyone has worked like a charm

people that say you need 400w are crazy

this has 300w and i have connected as much as 2 hard drives, 2 cd-roms, 4 case fans, the mobo, floppy, zip drive, and a voodoo5 (which requires a molex from the PSU (+12v))

Linky

you could also get the 52 dollar one...it is better + has front USB, ive used both...they are great 😉

i dunno what everyone else says, but whenever i see something NOT amd certified, it has worked perfect every time 😉 😉

if you are looking for a good case, you can get an awesome one here....it has the 400w power supply i just cut down, though, lol

it is also a great case, many great features....its very similar to the antec series sx840

Linky

its the one that is $75 with $18 shipping, 420w PSU, Model# CWT420 its also AMD approved 😉

I have used the one you show as "Tower 2" and it was a great case for the money. I like the screwless option. The PS raises a question though... I replaced a 340W after 4 months. Otherwise, great case.

I have a Fong-Kai that I bought without a PS for $44 from Directron. HERE IT IS

It is called the "Super Mini," but do not be fooled by that name. For most uses it is plenty large enough and very well built. I can stand on this case. You can buy it with or without a PS. I will be ordering another one next week without the PS, which I will hand pick locally.

One peeve about the Fong-Kai that I forgot to mention: The reset switch is very small and almost usless. I use the suspend button for that instead. There is a review in there that blasts the case. It isn't on par with the $100 models in terms of features, but if you want a solid case that can easily hold two up to five IDE drives this is a nice one.
