Can someone help me identify this cosmic structure in this photo?

Looking straight up on 2 Sept at 23:30 you would have several bright stars in your field of view. Unfortunatly your photochopping has made it very difficult to identify the key stars. My guess is you have a pic of Altair, the brightest star in Aquila and one of the 3 stars forming the asterism called the Summer Triangle.

It is not clear to me where north and south are, so it could also be Vega, in the constellation Lyra, again the untouched photo may help identify the consellations, and thus your object. I would tend to a bright star more then anything else.
