In before the lock!

You should really post this in the IWANNA thread (blah blah blah). - I have to throw that in just to stay on the good side of the mods.

Try PriceLine.com, expedia.com, or travelocity.com for good airfare rates.

ok. this thread is going to get locked.

might want to try a search before you post. a search for "travel" picked up this previous post that was really helpful to a lot of people.

also, orbitz.com is totally new and is a creation of the five largest airlines in America. i'm personally kind of worried about their possible monopolistic tendencies, but if anyone has a good experience with orbitz, i'd love to get a PM. i stick with priceline when i don't care about comfort.

the special on southwest is a great deal... too bad there is none from LA to portland....most of the ones provided don't offer one-way fare

Try Priceline.com, name your own price, Plus there is a $25 coupon per ticket which you can find...

You missed the Southwest thing that ended the 14th. It was $30-$99 one way to/from LA to most places in the US. $215 for a flight to Florida this summer. Yum.

I've had a good experience with Orbitz.
And their search engine is awesome.

I'd recommend check out www.flyertalk.com and explore their forums for not only getting a good price , but also amass as many miles as you can from the journey.
For instance.. aa.com has a bunch of incentives (upto 5000 miles) for your first online booking. 5000 miles - is about 100 dollars, if you use the conversion rate of 0.02 dollars per mile.
