can someone help me get FX sounds to play for DOOM & Heretic?

I just started to get back into Doom and Hetetic and for some reason none of the FX sounds work. I can hear the music OK and the video works great.

Do I need DOS drivers? If so where can I get them?

Win98SE,GeForce2 MX- VisionTek, P3BF- Asus, Celeron 533, 256 of PC-100, 30 gig IBM.

Last time I checked the Geforce2 MX (well the GeForce name as a whole) was a video card, not a sound card.

Hmmmm, could explain why I can't play MP3s on my Asus V6800 DDR. I thought it was a driver issue.

Seriously folks,

I really would like to get the FX sound working on my machine for my old ID &amp; Raven games.

BTW my SoundBlaster Live value has the LiveWire 3.0 drivers.

Try 9x, it has much better dos emulation

I thought that W98SE was just as good for old games as W95B.
