I've got a problem with my video crashing on my pc. It's a Geoforce 2 Pro (Leadtek) running XP Pro. I could send the card back to the pc people and they can check it for being defective, but that leaves me with no pc. I don't think the card is defective as I didn't have such problems prior to upgrading to XP. The problem is happening alot and what happens is that the computer will lock up and there will be white dots over the screen, like static. I have no choice but to hard reboot, and generally it loads up into a crash. I have to wait 5 minutes of it being shut off to be able to reboot it. I've tried both Leadtek and NVidia's latest drivers, but the problem still is there. Here's the log of my most recent crash if it helps:

The infinite loop error can be caused by a wide range of problems, but usually isn't caused by broken hardware. Just curious are you running a VIA chipset and a soundblaster live? Seen lots of threads about infinite loop errors and those two components in the system.

Here is a great page about this error..........

Does your mobo have a AGP 1x,2x or 4x choice in the bios? You might try lowering it to 2x or 1x and see if the error persists. You might also try lowering your memory timings (if available).

I don't no anything about XP, but if you can find the DirectX utility (in Win98 it found in system tools/system info) you might try turning down the Sound Hardware Support... It always without fail stops my games from locking up... And doesn't seem to affect the framerate, or sound... Hope You get it.
