Can someone help me figure out cubic feet?

OK doing some simple landscaping...some rocks beside the drive way....both sides....

Stip one is 25 L by 19 inches W by 3 inches H

Strip Two is 16 L by 19 inches W by 3 inches H


so for simplisities sake if you were to put the two strips together, one whole strip would be

41 feet L by 18-19 inches W by 3 inches H


I think I calculated it right....I came up with 16'ish cubic feet total for both sides.

The guy at Menards came up with 70 cubic feet...

Who is right me or him?

16 sounds right.
Roughly: 40*1.5 = 60ft^2
60 * 0.25 (3") = 15ft^3

But if they sell it by area, the 70 sounds right. If they sell it by volume covered, 16 sounds right.

well the inital word is it is sold by the 1/2 cubic foot.

So what does that tell you?

about 15 cubes, and the other poster said. give it an extra foot or so for fudge factor.
