Can someone give me step by step instructions to backing up and replaying my Blu-Rays?

Thanks guys, I'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to do this.

Here is my equipment:

Main Computer : Gateway P7805u-FX with external 5.25" Sony Blu-Ray drive (Vista x64)

Server: Shuttle KPC K45 with Windows Home Server and a Celeron 440 <-- is this powerful enough to serve hi-def? This will store all content and serve.

Blu-Ray: PS3 on the network, sees Windows Home Server as a source but haven't backed up any copies yet.

Spare Shuttle Barebones I can use in case the PS3 doesn't work correctly.

------------------------

And here is the advice I need:

1) What is the best software for ripping Blu-Ray?

2) What Codecs might I need for WHS and/or PS3 to do this?

3) What compression (if any) is widely regarded as the best for this purpose?

4) Additional settings/tweaks/advice that I might need

5) Is there a better way to accomplish this? Such as store all copies on an HTPC or on the PS3 itself?

------------------------

Thanks, much appreciated.
