Can someone explain why Cockpit doors are still open?

Really why is this such a difficult thing to secure? I understand that there are safety concerns locking people in there but come on a basic bathroom style lock on the door can't be done?

Odd comment, given the report of the incident. If the doors hadn't been locked, the guy wouldn't have been banging on them trying to get in.

Yeah, don't get this. He obviously couldn't just open it. Also, PSA for insane air travelers: you can't open the fuselage door in flight, however drunk you might be.

Ha I could only see the first paragraph on my phone, I'm a dummy. This guy must have had to crap pretty bad...
