Can someone explain what a form SF-50 is?

Applying to some government positions, and some of them list form SF-50 as "required documentation". Im not sure if this applies to only former government employees or everybody applying for the position.

Can someone explain to me what this form is for?

Thank you for showing me what form SF-50 looks like and thank you for linking to to the same google results that I looked at 30 minutes ago. If any of you are able to go through those results and actually answer my question, "what is form sf-50 for and who does it pertain to?" I would be extremely happy.

Is there anyone can actually give me a "form sf-50 for dummies" definition?

Standard Form (SF) 50. The SF-50 is the required form of employee notification for actions such as accessions, conversions, separations, and for corrections and cancellations of those actions. The SF-50 constitutes the official documentation of Federal employment.

AFAIK, you won't have one unless you've worked for the government. And if you do work for the government, then you should know what it's used for 😀

Yup, my buddy just texted me the same thing. He told me it's for former/current govt employees, and it's not required of me.

Thanks! 🙂
