Hi all,
I have been seeing a slowdown recently when logging on to internet sites with Chrome. Instead of loading the page almost instantly as it used to, there is a noticable pause, only a second or two, but definitely longer than it took the same sites to load previously.
When the pause occurs, in the bottom left corner of the screen it says "downloading proxy script". I tried to google this, but found mostly sites offering downloads, and a few definitions I could not understand.
Is it normal to see this kind of message, or do I have a virus or spyware of some sort? I have run Malware Bytes and Spybot and found no malware.
I have an i5 2320, 8gb ram, HD7770, Win 7. My internet connection is 7.5 megabit DSL over a wireless router.
