Can someone explain to me backpropogation and Hopfield Networks ?

I am studying AI and for the life of me can't quite grasp how backpropogation in multilayer networks and (obviously separately) Hopfield networks work.

I tried googling for some tutorials, but the ones I found didn't really help.

I understand perceptrons and perceptron learning.

Can anyone break these down for me in simpler terms ?

are you trying to do the math, or just trying to conceptually get it?
