Don't know about the description of them as pumps, there's no heal!? But my first thought is that they look like east Indian slippers that I have seen in many east Indian households. Nothing girly about those. If that's what they are it's just the strange way they are being advertised that makes them seem odd. Also odd that Amazon would carry these to begin with but then I guess they have just about everything now.

I found them while browsing slippers. That would make perfect sense.

So they aren't for the catholic school principals of the world? They are for lounging in Indian cribs.
