I ws just sitting @ my computer doing the following things: Web browsing (IE6), Playing MP3 (Winamp), and chatting(AIM). Now the problem/fluke: All the sudden the system didnt lock up, but froze. It just stopped, no signal to the monitor, all fans running (i think), pressing the reset didnt do anything, Pressed the power button a few times and heard things start (hdd, fans, etc) but no beep errors. So I thought I would smell inside. I flipped the powerswitch off and then on again (on the Enermax 350w power supply) and then opened the case, no smell. Pressed the power button. It worked!! What does this mean? Does this suggest that my nearly brand new (3mo old) power supply is going back on me?? I keep my computer on 24 hrs a day (with an occasional reboot). I don't think it is a software, os issue (win xp). I looked in the event log and no errors were recorded when it happened. Look at my system specs and tell me what you think might have caused it. LMK ASAP. Thanks.

I was so tempted to say check your monitor power save options but that would be cruel :)

At this stage you could just put it down to "one of those things" I would only worry if it starts happening more often. I too run my PC 24/7 and once it did reboot all by itself and I never found out why...

Thanks for your advise. I will let it slide under the bridge for now and see if it happens again. But I am still open to ideas and suggestions. Thanks.
