Can someone explain this to me (about US vs Iraq)

If we have evidence of Iraq having, nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons.

Yet the inspectors haven't turned up anything but the recent empty warheads.....

Why doesn't the U.S. gov. fess up and say where all the stockpiles are? And actually prove themselves to the rest of the world that Iraq is actually doing all of this.

There's a difference between knowing if something is there and proving it through diplomatically acceptable means.

Wouldnt that mean using the UN inspectors?

Giving them the information?

Using not force but diplomacy?

Exactly, we will play it the first night we attack. No sense in saying what ever the secret is and then telling Saddam to bend over and wait for it. It'll be a surprise attack to try and minimize losses. Make no mistake about it, we are going to attack.

We are attacking, it's not if, it's when. We are just keeping everyone at bay with our inspectors until we have built up the required force.

Afghanistan was a festering mess before we showed up, can't expect it to be all nice and pretty in a year.

It will take between 5 and 10 years to straighten out both nations.
