Can someone explain the difference between a DIGITAL cordless phone vs. an ANALOG cordless phone?

For some reason (i'm an idiot) I can't figure out the difference between these two formats. Is one less secure than the other or does it cause more/less interference?

The difference is that with digital phones (depending on the connection type), can work on an ISDN line, where as a regular analog phone usually connects to the POTS line. You can buy a Terminal Adapter which will allow your analog phone to connect to an ISDN one.

All you need to know is that a digital phone will most likely not work on your POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) line.

A digital phone uses a digital signal from the phone to the handset, longer range and less chance of being listened to. Digital is better

Thank you. I was wondering about the digital phone line remark. I know people who don't have a digital line but have a digital cordless phone.

DSS is actually the best. It uses a frequency hopping technology which makes it almost impossible for someone to listen in.

I believe there is equipment that can lock on but I haven't investigated it. I also remember more than one type of Digital Spread Spectrum technology but also haven't looked into it.
