I know its a "pyramid scheme" as i learned in school 2 years ago 🙁 . Do people really get an ipod and such such. I saw a new one for an free computer but i didn't sign up for any. Im just wondering why did this "pyramid scheme" become so popular. Most likly this thread is going to get locked but my friend asked me about it and i told him it was an pyramid scheme, but didnt really explain.
 
Yes it's a pyramid scheme.

You have to sign up for all of these services that sponsor the free ipods. As more people enter the pyramid, the harder it gets for people to actually receieve it. And yes, in the beginning people actually did recieve a free ipod.
 
It became popular because people actually received Ipod's. There were also internet articles saying how it wasn't a scam as people were getting Ipod's, but like all pyramid schemes eventually people will get screwed.
