Can someone explain a triplex? (Housing question)

So I lived on Residence first year, roomed with people year 2/3 and 4th year I'm looking at getting my own place..

So I see this in alot of adds...what exactly is a triplex and why is it mentioned? (I'm looking @ a Bachelor apartment)

It's means it's a single place with 3 living areas. Like a duplex, but 3.

Yes. Three apartments, one building sold as a unit. If the three apartments were sold individually, they'd be condos.
