My dad's work just upgraded to Windows XP and he is freaking out. He lost his rolodex software that comes with Windows 98. Rather than try and give him something new ( no matter how simple that would be ) I would prefer to give him the same thing. I believe this is a standard program in Windows 98

LMK if you can help me out.

i've never seen rolodex software in Win98. it was probably a 3rd party utility.

Could Be. Last time he has this problem a few years ago i seem to remember pulling it from a 98 machine.

It was a small programm like 400k.

look at this..

the cardfile was a windows3.x program.. I think it was missing from 95 too, but you could stick it in 95 and it'd work.. it looks like there's some problems making that happen with xp, even if you can find it.. but this seems to be a reasonable substitute, and will import the old data, if you've got that saved.. maybe it'd help?

The cardfile applet should work under XP on its own. It's a simple 16bit program. Try copying cardfile.exe over to an XP box and see if it runs.
