Can someone confirm this?

Not sure where this is supposed to go.

I was looking at the servers on the Dell website. I wanted to price out a PowerEdge 1650 which Dell is currently advertising for $1099.

Here is the link to the servers page.

Clicking on Customize It the price shows up as $1796.

Am I missing something?

I receive $1,796 as well her209 😕

I got it down to $1396-$100 MIR, by deselecting the On-Site support and other little things.

I can't get it to $1099.00 though. :-\

Yes, the ability to read.

"Above price does not include $100 Mail-In-Rebate."

Additionally, the ability to downgrade components (e.g. selecting a slower CPU to get another $100 off the price).

Can you get it to $1199-$100 MIR?

I can't, and I read every piece of fine print. There is an error.

Its still only gets you down to $1700. Clicking on Next, and deselecting the Network Switch that Dell tries to sell you, its still at $1400.

Got it. (didn't realize there was a next page 😱)

Try this:

Click on the Customize page and select the following:

- Upgrade to a PE1650 PIII 1.26GHz w/512K Cache at a PIII 1.13GHz/512K price [subtract $100] (under PowerEdge 1650)
- 3Yr BRONZE Support, Next Business Day Onsite [subtract $299] (under Hardware Support Services)
- None (under Network Switches)

That gets it down to $1097, and you still have the $100 MIR that takes it down to $997.

Nice, thanks! I missed the option to downgrade the support service.
