Can somebody suggest a private VPN service for anonymous browsing?

I'm based in the middle east and can't access most of youtube videos and other usa specific video content which i'd like to see. Im looking for a service which has its base in USA and gives usa specific address for the above problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

google "usa free proxy"...there are plenty out there. is this related to olympic content? 🙂

the free ones might work but are blocked in the country i am in and plus the free vpns/proxies are never safe

if you have friends in the US, ask one of them to create a VPN with a tool like Hamachi.

Probably not great for high bandwidth, though since this stuff often can be downloaded as a trickle
and then used when the download completes, I guess it's not impossible.

I agree that, with regards to safety, I would use tor or the like. Hitting a single IP with encrypted traffic is a tall-tell sign of subversive activity when it comes to suspicious environments.

While any flavor of vpn can provided you with iron clad security, the unintended consequence is the attention your garner for standing out, especially if the people watching are apt to do something about it.
