Can somebody recommend a good carpet cleaner?

I looked at amazon.com and there are so many I?m not sure which to pick. We currently have a Dyson DC15. It does a good job but I think we need to invest in a cleaner. I?m looking to spend about $200-250?which would you guys recommend?

And what about the cleaning solutions? Are there cheaper alternatives that works well?

I'm looking at the SpotBot. It's a little one from Bissell that you just set down over a spot, hit the button, and leave it for 10 minutes. Obviously, it's just made for things like pet spots and spill drinks. But for $140 (I think) and not really having to do any work other than carry it to the spot, sounds perfect for me.

This was probably no help at to you but it's the only one I've been looking at.

bissell are pretty good. They only seem to last 4-5 years so dont buy one will all the bells and whistles
