can somebody reccomend me a good ad and pop up blocker?

I used to use WebWasher a long time ago, I never saw ads.

For PopUp Blocker, I use CrazyBrowser which has a pop-up blocker built in.

Second that.

I used to use it but sometimes it blocks too much stuff like images on the Clip Art site of Microsoft.

I personally use Norton Personal Firewall which has an ad blocker, and I'm pretty happy with it. It seems to be better tha proxomitron and a bit more efficient so loading time isn't that bad for pages. Also, with this you can add any ad you see to it and you won't see it again. All you have to do is click on the ad, and drag it onto the Norton Firewall Alert Tracker on the side of the screen.
