Can some one please explain to me the appeal behind bull fighting?

If the bull actually fights back, ala gladiator style, against the matador, I can understand. But the bull, naturally dumb, chases after a piece of red cloth, and the matador just wave it in front of the bull and then stabs it, what's the fun in that? To make it a fight, why don't they blind fold the matador, shiet, I think he can hear the beating hooves and the bull's breathing, so it can be fair.

This is for bulls everywhere.

Actually, it's much worse than that for the bull. By the time the bull faces the matador, it's nearly exhausted already. Not really a sporting chance for the bull; kind of like shooting fish in a barrel. I've been to a couple of bullfights and imho it's a pretty weak "sport". I still haven't quite figured out the entertainment value because like I said, there's absolutely no chance for the bull. And the matadors all dress like drag queens anyway.
