can small speaker inside case be used to get sound?

are you able to use the speaker inside the computer case to get sound to listen to things like youtube or is it only usable for beeps. if so do you have to turn it on in your bios? and which power supply connector do you use to connect it to your motherboard (the ac97 on or the other one?)?

The "standard" PC speaker (either a real 2-3" speaker, or more recently, a smaller piezo speaker) connects to the motherboard with a 4-pin header connector. It is only usable for BIOS beeps. It does not connect to your sound card.
