Can SETI and SOB run together on the same system?

I'm running SETI 24/7 on two systems, both of which are OC'd XP1700's. Presently, I'm cranking out 13-15 WU's daily.

I'm kind of interested in the SoB program also, and would be glad to join the team, but I'm doing well with SETI and don't want to drop my WU average or cause conflicts on my systems.

Any answers or opinions would be appreciated!

You might be able to run it but it will affect your wu times. Think of your cpu cycles as a limited resource, you get x number of them a second. Right now your spending all of your spare ones on seti. If you add another process it will take some away from seti. How much I don't know. But its better in most cases to just run one dc project on a computer.

Memnoch, yeah, I figured I'd take some kind of "hit", I was just wondering how much. I guess I could just run each program on a seperate system....

I run SOB together with Seti..

My SOB runs about 5000 cEms/s, since Seti takes precedence due to higher priority.
I havent noticed any slowdown in Seti..

Thanks, Soni! That was the info I was lookin' for!

I'll give it a shot on one machine and see how it goes!
