Hi,
Thanx for looking in.

I am using a USB D-link 122 card plugged into my desktop.
It can see the router, but for some reason, can't get a connection to it.

WAIT,
there is a small history.

I used a USB Netgear MA111 wifi card to good effect for a couple of weeks, before it suddenly gave up, and had to be replaced with another.
The new Netgear worked for all of two hours. - Now it doesn't. That also stopped working suddenly, and with no help on my part.

I decided to try another USB wifi card - this is the D=link.
It can see the damned connection - but - aaaaaahhhhhagagaghagahahha...................

All help and donations accepted gracefully and with a smile.
Thank you

are you using other USB devices ??

I would hesitate to stick another USB device in something that seems to have apparently killed 2 of them already.

Have you tested these 2 USB adaptors on other PCs to see if they were working properly ??

what OS are you running ?

Cheers for the reply....

I am using a USB printer, and have been for ages - no problems there.

The USB devices have been swapped around - no change [printer is still ok]

The OS is Win2K pro.

Unfortunately - no other pc [within wireless range] to try out the wifi sticks.
The connection is registering upto 60% reception which is great. (the first card only got upto 45% but worked without a hitch till it got tired ;-)
