Can SATA to USB3 adapter respect sleep options?

Is there a SATA to USB3 external adapter or dock which makes the drive appear as if it is a normal SATA drive, and which therefore respects Windows sleep settings?

With the adapter I have (Anker) I always get problems with drives going to sleep after a few minutes, ignoring the Windows storage setting never to sleep or to sleep after an hour.

Unlike internal drives, external drives need their own drivers installed.

You need to stop your usb going to sleep.
