if i buy a video card with s-video support and i only use that connector alone, will i be able to view output of the computer?

or is it required to have a 15 pin vga connector plugged in as well?

if the s-video composite output alone is possible, which card is capable and is considered the best in tv-out performance?

thank you

If it is connected to a TV, yes.

Some cards need a monitor plugged in to set it up. Others do not. But after setup, you would not need anything connected to VGA

s-video and composite are 2 different things, but ATi Radeons have nice TV-out, and they don't need a monitor attached, ever.

You're welcome.
