Can run ya run multiple SCSI drives and IDE raid setup together?

my friends using a fancy setup, his systems boots scsi by default - his os, so when his parents need to use it, they slide in the ide drive off the removable ide tray and it'll boot that OS off the ide, scan by priority..

so it scans ide , than scsi
so if ide is there, it'll boot off that, if not , scan the next boot record which is scsi..
