Can RJ45 cable be used for...

I want to control fans on my computer remotely with a little box on the desktop. Im using RJ45 wire. Should be able to handle the 12 volts right?

i would imagine.... wire is wire, albeit a smaller gauge, but 12 volts will travel on some pretty small wire. especially in a computer where there won't be very long lengths, you should be fine

sounds like a pretty cool idea, that way you don't have to mess with wire loom

RJ45 is not a standard for cabling.
