Can rc5 work on Unix machines? This might mean a few dozen more machines...

Just got a letter from someone in the process of Borg implantation. Part of it said this:

You sure this can't be done on a unix platform as well as I can get over a few dozen machines
doing it if you want
😉

I never said it can't, just that the Borg client is made for Windows. So my question is: Can It? I really don't know (I'm just a recruiter, not a techie), so I told him to ask Russ. Anyone has some insight on this question.

Another few dozen machines would be mucho nice. 🙂

It should work dennil, if you go to the client download page or get him to go there he should be able to find one that can run on his systems. There are too many *nix'es to say download THIS client I'm afraid 😱 If he doesn't have time/inclination to go there, ask for more specifics so we can find the correct client for him 😎

Hope this helps some /me crosses fingers 😉

RC5
OGR-25
Seti
Gamma Flux

And dennil - to add to what TwoFace said, if the dnet client for that platform isn't available, there's a possibility that the individual's *nix can emulate one of the supported platforms...

For example, I installed a Linux emulator on my NetBSD so I can run libc 5 Linux apps on it...
