I've heard conflicting reports on this so I figured I'd ask the experts. Will an AMD 7750 (or for that matter, a 7770) work with Windows XP service pack 3? Some seem to indicate that it won't function at all unless you have Windows 7 while others seem to suggest that it will work just fine with XP, it just won't have the all the bells and whistles DX11 features available when playing a game. Which is it? x1950xt failed so I need a replacement, but I probably won't be able to afford both the Windows 7 OS "and" a card simultaneously atm.

It's for a Intel 620/4gb DDR3/500 watt psu system with a Pci express 2.0 socket system.

Wonderful. Does that go for the 7770 as well? Lastly, what kind of performance it is it playing mmo's in dx9 instead of 11?

Surely still better than the x1950xt I imagine.

Correct. All of the 7K series cards use the same drivers, so the compatibility is all the same.

Well I do know for WoW DX11 adds a few more FPS but that game is CPU limited half the time anyway.

I had bought a 7750 when they first came out and the card didn't work in XP. The CD that came with it had no XP drivers, but XP was listed as being supported, but at a later date. That's why I think why there's the confusion. Also, the card only worked with the drivers that came on the CD.

So if I'm using the card with XP, should I use the drivers on the cd then and not the latest ones on their website? I'm not sure what you mean about only the drivers on the CD will work.
