Can Quicken and Quickbooks data be shared between computers

I have a friend who wants to have Quicken and Quickbooks on two different computers (that applications), god knows why, they are only 20' apart. Anyway I was wondering if anybody knows whether you can set it up such that both copies of Quicken and QUickbooks will go to only one file as it's main copy. So that either of them can do the changes on their own computer and both parties will see the eventually updates?

I figured you can jus link both copies to one document, but I am not entirely sure if that is possible.
