Can programs on the task bar be made to vanish

I have an app I dont want users of a computer to see. So can you stop it appearing on the taskbar once open.

Depends on the APP and the OS.

If using NT/2K/XP you may be able to run the APP as a SERVICE.

If this program is running as a service, you might try editing the service properties and de-selecting Allow Service To Interact With The Desktop

I've never used it or heard of it before, but Google turned this up first.

Just right click the program icon on your task bar, then lef click delete.
