Everything before 'Hello World!" I hated.

("Click the 'new project' button to create a new project")
("If you want to save, press the Save As button. If you've already saved once before, press the Save button")
:disgust:

I've been playing with adding bits (lots) to a in-car computer software called MediaEngine....i'm starting to dream "If CurrentForm = "playmp3" Then"....😕

Confused

It can be very addicting, but to get me to be addicted to it is very hard ( I'm too lazy). I've stayed up all night to code before, but it took my procastination ass a week before I actually started on the project.

Yes! Oh brother! I've been struggling with my addiction for years now. I'm so happy to have found another poor soul to share my feelings with. We should start a support group!
Dorks Anomymous?

Yes.

But that is the best way, spend every second you can from start to finish. If I go a few days without working on a programming project, I'm not longer "in the zone" and many times I have to start over.

Just when you finish this project, take a break for a few weeks before going onto the next one if you have one.

meh, programming's always been boring to me. but i suppose it can.

Ok, it was used here, so I must ask.
What exactly does "meh" express, and where did it come from?

My thread contrubution: programming was mildly addictive for me. I never was too good at it (high school programming classes, Basic, Pascal, C++, some HTML), but dammit, I was going to finish the projects.🙂 And I always did. I was told that I used very strange methods, but they worked.

I've had days where I really got into my coding and would stay an extra 4 hours at work just because I didn't want to stop. But that's mostly because I knew I wouldn't get nearly as much done if I stopped and started again the next day.

Yup if you start a prog project the next day, it's hard to get all your thoughts together like you had the day before...

I love it when you start writing class notes in c++ or whatever prgramming language.

ex. !=, if statements, etc.

To an obsessive compulsive guy like me, anything can become addicting.

After I got out of the programming phase, for example, I was addicted to memorizing the ingredients of shampoo products.
