Can pins be added to locked durons\tbirds

I mean are there still little gold pads on the underside or is it nothing but ceramic?

I guess drilling the ceramic is stoopidly out of the question?

Thats what I was thinking, If they cut the pin why not just tak one back on. Or make a converter platform that fits between the CPU and the Socket.

Seb,
I don't believe that anyone has actually seen a pinless duron/bird. The assumption is that the BP-FID pins are removed. If so, the Bridges controlling the FID can still be cut, a little difficult but not impossible.

The picture over at insanehardware confirms that the pins are missing and so are the pads so that adding pins is out of the question. I guess that Duron yields are so good that AMD no longer needs to speed bin them.

Nope, the pins are completely gone. Bare ceramic.... This sucks.... Apparently, week 36+ chips are the ones effected...
