I know this works in desktop pc's but I don't know of anyone that has tried it in a Dell Inspiron 3800. Anyone know if this will work s the 133 ram is half the price of 100.

As long as it is a SODIMM of the same form factor - no problem.

Careful on the RAM upgrade with Dell. I believe that they are finiky about what you put in, just any old SODIMM may not work right.
Bus speed is only one of several issues. Higher bus speed won't matter, but the computer won't work any faster either. You need to compare all the other specs too. Crucial is a good site to check out for that.

Check around, but last I checked Dell, they were the cheapest on RAM upgrade for my Latitude anyway.

We upgraded about 100+ Dell Latitude LS laptops at my work from 128 to 256MB. We ended up using PC133 SODIMMs since they were about 3 bux cheaper than the PC100 ones. Worked fine with no problems.

Shouldn't this be in the hardware forum though?
